Arizona Public Court Records
Each year, thousands of individuals need access to court records in the state, and understanding how to access the information you need is key to a successful search. State law requires that all Arizona public bodies and officers maintain the records that are necessary to provide accurate and detailed accounts of government funded activities and any other official activities.
As a public body of which employs state officers, the court system is required to maintain Arizona court records which are deemed public by both state statute and code. It is explicitly stated that citizens in Arizona, upon request, have the right to access public records.
Court records of Arizona are required to be available for inspection by any citizen during office hours at all times as dictated by Arizona public records law. Arizona court records which are being maintained or stored by public agencies are, in fact, required to deliver any requested information in a timely manner.
In the event that a custodian fails to provide any requested court records of Arizona then it is deemed that access has been denied, an act which is against Arizona Public Records Law.
